Small guys and swimwear

Recommended Posts

I have worn Speedos for many years and don't care about the bulge. This summer I took my two youngest kids to the neighborhood pool and was wearing unlined nylon gym shorts. My intent was to read the paper but my son asked me to come in swimming. When I got out, my new neighbor was staring at my crotch and asked if I had had penile cancer. I looked down and saw I was fully retracted without even an acorn showing but my balls were evident inside the skin molding nylon. While it was a strange thing for him to bring up, he explained later that his uncle had to have a partial penectomy so it made him quite aware of the situation.

Anyway, I have worn those shorts again since, now that I know what they reveal. I was recently on a business trip with several of my employees and we met at the pool during some free time. I wore those shorts and didn't care who saw what.

I think it is sad that some men purchase that rubber looking bulge pictured above to hide who they are and pretend to be something else. That is perpetuating the problem small guys face. If we don't even beleive in ourselves, how can we expect larger guys to respect our equipment?

I have to agree, but I think there was a little more to the question. It sounds like the type of things I say when I get caught looking too long. I remember once I was so fixated, all I asked if the guy had been in an acident.

I have had the same experience (which is why I don't wear Speedos anymore). No one brought it up, but I guess I am just so self conscious of my body when it is like that. Looking to have the type of freedom that you write about one day.

Koala has something called "the buldge" here, which you can put in your speedo. :

I can just wee that thing falling out on the floor as I was changing and I would NEVER live that down. Bad anough to be "small" in the locker room, but to be "small" and "caught padding"... well you'd just have to go off yourself.

I am also small, and competed all through high school and college. And your right--speedos hide nothing. The new stuff guys are wearing to compete isn't quite so revealing.

But its not just small guys that have to worry. I had a friend who was rather endowed and very embarrassed by the way his speedos showed off every vein in his rather noticeable bulge. He tended to get "semis" a lot and I think he got teased more than I did. I remember noticing that he even took to tucking his dick down between his legs to "minimize" the penis lines in his suit. Other guys with lots of pubes have to do a lot of trimming. Hairy crotches and speedos don't go so well together.

Unless you are competing, you just dont have to do the speedo thing. There are lots of styles and not all show off bulges. My advice is find the suit that suits you and skip the padding.

As noted in a previous message, I am a swimmer. When you exercise, and especially swimming in cold water, you're gonna shrink up. In high school I was always completedly retracted it seemed when I got back into the showers after practice, just the tip of foreskin showing out from the complete turtle act my cold penis would do. I got teased so much about that. I will never forget some asshole saying something like, "Hey Dave, you forget you dick in the pool." Unfortunately I reacted and that only made it worse.

Thereafter I just learned to turn away when I changed and wear a towel into the shower, etc. I don't know why guys persists in commenting to us about our smaller cocks. Questions like, "do you have cancer" or "were you in an accident" as others of your wrote about, all share the theme of "there is something wrong with you if you have a small penis".

I shared in another thread about an event a while back where a friend nudged his friend in the locker room after notcing me drying off. He smiled broadly and was obviously commenting on my small size. The friend also laughed. While they intended no cruelty, and while that kind of thing doesn't happen with the frequency it did in high school, people still make enough jibes (in and out of the locker room) that it remains a spectre for me when changing in front of others.

I admit that I still struggle with this. It is hard to have a healthy self image when other guys keep telling you that being small is inadequate.

End of rant!

lol i have never really had an issue with that. I only had swimmign for 1 year in middle school and everyone was discrete. I like to wear boardshorts though. In minnesota its not correct to wear anything else unless you are on boys swimming team and then only when you are swimming for the team. lol thats america with double standards for you

Well, issue first: If you are small and have a choice DON'T WEAR A SPEEDO...DUH. Unless you are a glutton for punishment why put yourself thru it? There are some really hot bathing suits for guys that aren't crack-binding tight, like Australian rowers' shorts, available everywhere. If you look hard enough you'll find something sexy and modest enough so you feel great about yourself especially if you have a nice body. There are more choices in swimwear than most other men's clothes, especially if you shop where gay men shop. Even for you straight guys, it's a good idea, instead of the knee-length 90's surfer dude baggies, show some skin. women freaking love it.

issue 2. Nothing has ever turned me on more than a guy in a wet speedo with a small package. with no doubt it's right there in front of you. makes me just quiver. and the balls to do it and not care. i used to do it when i was younger, more out of ignorance i think. I couldn't do it now even though my body is light years better now than then.the courage of youth. by the way drop me a line if you want some resources for cool bathing suits. By the way this wasn't an excellent idea for a thread.

kudos

During a trip to Las Vegas last month, my wife and I decided to go down to one of the numerous pools in this large casino/hotel where we were staying. Of the hundreds of guys at the pools, we noticed only three guys wearing speedos. One was well built and the other two were overweight. All three looked silly. I say "noticed" because you just can't help but notice people who stand out due to what they were wearing. We didn't notice them because of their package. We noticed them because they looked silly in speedos in a public situation. I guess it's all a matter of taste.

As I stated before, I ware a boxer brief version of speedo. Today was very cold. When I got out of the water the twenty something female lifeguard just stared at me, I realized that I did not even a bulge, where there should be some definition. I mean I looked like a woman. Man it was the first time ever I got embarrassed while swimming.

wow,

fascinating thread. I prefer board shorts always

I have huge nuts and my dick rests nicely on them so the board shorts show the bulge very well, even though it's small...

but to address the issue of other guys making rude comments about small ones. I fortunately have never had people make any rude comments on my junk, came close. probably because of my size and muscle mass most people know i would go ape shit on their ass.

the attitude I prefer to take when changing in a locker room

and if someone were to make a comment on it, I would address them by saying if they are lokoing at me long enough to make a comment like that, then they are clearly looking for something other than a comparison glance. just simply respond by saying, "unless you want to suck it, why are you staring? why waste your breath in making such a pathetic comment".

Regardless of bulge/ no bulge - speedos are an absolute fashion no-no in the UK. I know we're not esteemed for our dress sense here (especially when abroad in warmer climes) but speedos are definitely out of the question.

Any (even slightly) fashion conscious UK guy wouldn't be seen dead in a pair.

Just my pennies worth. IMHO of course.
