Does that mean that my penis, proportionally speaking, doesn't look as small on me as I've been led to believe? I'd be thrilled to find this out. Maybe most of the women I've been with have just been crude, nasty or size queens. Regardless, I guess 4" for a guy who's 5'5" is sort of expected. Hence, there are plenty men 5'6" with a penis of 6-1/2", just as there are plenty of men 6"3 with a 4 inch penis. Nice thing is -- they all work. I've never met a woman that desired a smaller penis. It's always been "bigger is better." Wouldn't a 4" penis look larger on a man who is 5'5" than one who is 6'3"? Posted January 9, 2006 Report Share Posted January 9, 2006 to sum up the answer on this thread based on what I know, what is out there, what is truth and on what people have posted here in this thread. 1. as I have mentioned and continue emphasize before, penis size has a lot to do with body\cock proportions. yes a short dude with a small penis will look like he's hung as opposed to a tall dude with a small one. 2. girth has much to do with what people perceive as a large penis. merely because a thick one looks more meaty than if it were longer but thinner. 3. women in general do not know how to estimate good cock measurements only because they do not have to look at a cock everyday. whereas women can most definitely look at anbother girls chest and guess the bra size within minutes. my point, yes size is overestimated since we can agree that porn is made up of rare freaks that producers scoured the globe to find and the actual average of the penis is 5 inches long and 4 inches thick. period. To me, the closest approximation of a random survey--but one that extremely small guys would avoid--was the Cancun survey at college spring break by Lifestyles condoms. I can't say necessarily I've met a lot of girls who are looking for smaller, but very rarely have I met one who automatically thinks "bigger is better". The biggest size queen I know, in fact, is a size-queen for AVERAGE guys. Anything bigger than 6 1/2 was too (painfully) big and anything below 5 1/2 was too small. That was it. Get this: The two worst lays she said she ever had was one guy, who happened to be my friend, that was 6 3/4 inches long and hurt the living bejesus out of her, and another guy who had a 5 1/3 incher that she said "didn't feel like anything". Now whether the validity of the correlation between height and penis size actually exists is another issue. BUT ... I was at a party years ago at which all the young women (in their 20's)met the guys at the door and then tried to guess our penis size based on the guy's height and build. Their assumptions - taller guys would have longer penises. Stocky guys would have thicker penises. And ALL the women guessed I was "under 5 inches long and pretty thick" based on my height and my build. After several drinks (and ALOT of coaxing) they got me to confess that they were correct in their assuptions for my size/shape. Party game antics for sure - but one that is based on assumptions that ALOT of women subscribe to. So Fallout - I am amazed that so many women you have met have been so cruel to you about your size as most women DO think it is proportional to your build. All I can tell you is I'm sorry you've experienced this but don't give up. There are alot of fine women who will love you for who you are. Work on being a good man women could love. Don't let the size thing get too big a play in your mind. You're not that far off of average you know. Are the women you've been with young and inexperienced? I would think women who've been around the block would realize what average really is and not some "Overestimated" size that this thread alludes to. Some extremely good looking classmates and their friends. I remember they were REALLY curious about my size (they were the same way with some of the really tall guys too) and kept on about it all evening long until I finally caved and told them I was "just under 4 inches and quite thick". NO put downs ensued. In fact, quite the opposite happened. The women told me, "That's just fine. We were assuming you were short and fat there 'cuz you're short and stocky." So I was what they considered would to be proportional. That's why I'm surprised at your experiences with women and their negative comments. Bad run of luck dude. Keep looking. She's out there! I measured again tonight and actually got a FULL erection. That rarely ever happens when I'm alone. And boy was I surprised! Instead of 4", I got 4.5"! I'm actually a half-inch longer than I thought! I'm still not thick though. I wish I was 5 or 6 inches in circumference, but I guess wishing won't do any good. Oh well. At least I'm a little longer. Now I'm 5 1/4 long so she managed to overestimate it by more than 2 inches and it got us talking a bit and i told her about this site and things that were discussed on it and she couldnt believe that i went in forums for guys that thought they were small so i'm fairly confident that what we do think of as average is way over stated and has made me feel a lot better about myself. But those first studies were published and every man thought, gee, the average is 6 inches, and I'm only 5. Later studies, in which a clinician did the measuring, found that the average was 5 to 5.25 inches. The AVERAGE, mind you--so some were shorter, some were longer. All this is good news for five inchers like mine, if size really matters. And my wife always thought I was six, until I told her otherwise, because it's a normal, average, well-proportioned penis that gives her lots of satisfaction. That middle range that they can't judge runs encompasses the vast majority of men (probably between 5-7"). One thing that helps from both women and men is that a bit extra thickness makes a smallish penis appear larger in the eye (and mouth) of the beholder).
