Fallout
I just spoke with a female friend of mine and somehow the subject got to penis size. When I asked her what she thought the "average size" was, she said (and I quote): 4.5" I was floored. I thought for sure she'd say at least 5" or probably 6", but no...she specifically said 4.5". I think it's true that not only can't most women tell what size a guy is by looking at him, but most women don't really know (or care to know) the average size of a penis. I think the most important thing, when dealing with any woman, is to make her feel loved. If you do that, then she probably won't care about penis size. Stephen_in_Leeds
I find it curious she would say the .5 & not a whole number. Good for her.

The_Phoenix
Slightyly off topic, slightly on The other night I was playing "Would you Rather" board game my a female friend and her boyfriend. One of the questions we encountered was "Would you rather have an 8.5 inch constant erection, or a 2 inch [we were assuming they meant soft] penis?" My and her boyfriend both said the 2 inch softie, which completely surprised his girlfriend who replied with "Don't you guys want that?!" Made me chuckle, and we both explained to her that it would be nigh impossible to hide - and that the average was 5-7 inches. That was the other odd thing that struck me there, he used the 5-7 figure, a span that I have only heard here, not the generally used 'six incher.' diggergee
Yep, than one always throws me, average 5-7, thats not even an average figure it's a range. Doesn't make sense to me, the average height man is 5'8" - 6'2"????????????
Fallout
Actually, the average height of a man is supposedly 5'9" while the average height of a woman is 5'3" in the United States. I don't know about elsewhere though. Honestly, I don't know where they come up with these stats. Where I live, I see both men and women who're a lot taller than those figures. diggergee
about the same over here in the UK, but as you said everyone i see seems taller than that.
liao
Last year in the New Yorker, there was an interesting article on average heights in the States and Europe, with the average height in Europe rising and that in the States dropping over the past decade. Blamed on America's poor nutrition. However, living in the Northwest, it seems a miracle when I see anyone under 6 feet. I swear they are all 6'4 or so. Anyway, the International Standards Organization (ISO) has some of these figures as they relate to clothing manufacture and the US Army is also a good source as they have to produce uniforms and shoes for all the soldiers. That's where I learned the average male shoe size is 10 (US sizes). Never saw the ISO or the Army weigh in on condom size though. I understand the EU did a few years ago, with a lone German physician complaining that the EU's agreed-upon condom size would be too large for most German men. You can imagine that he wasn't the most popular man in Germany that season
TassieDave
I agree. It's strange when people get down to details like that. When I was first with my ex, she mentioned how a lot of her ex's had "pretty big cocks". Now, as I've seen a lot of porn, when I say "pretty big cock", I'm talking like, 7+ inches and at least 5.5" girth. So that's what I thought she meant. I questioned her on it a little while ago (even though I wasn't sure I wanted to know the answer) and she said that the biggest guys she'd been with were at most a centimeter or two longer than me (sorry... metric system down here) and the smaller guys she'd been with only about a centimeter shorter. While I'd love to believe this information, part of me thinks, "she's just saying that so I'll feel ok". And then there's the other thing that makes me wonder how much truth there was in that statement - How can someone even notice one centimetre (little less than 1/2") difference between two cocks, unless they're right next to one another? I figure the difference must have been much bigger in order for her to notice, or she really doesn't know measurements from looking. I asked her about girth and she said that few were thicker than me, if at all. Now, THAT is an answer I can believe. Not because I think I'm thick, but because it's vague and unsure. Anyway, just my thoughts...
n.o.o.d.l.e
Is it just me, or does this encourage anyone else to be dishonest about their penis size? Now, I apologise if that sounds terrible, but if your partner has trouble with mental measuring anyway? I mean, I agree, should you do it its a pretty short-term solution to any anxiety you may have but come on... Its at least partially tempting. Or am I just talking out my butt? Also, from girls I've talked to, nobody really cared what size was who. Now, I'm not going to lie and say 'they don't discuss it' because ladies have told me they do, but I have been told by all (and the ones I am personally very emotionally close to) its more of an information thing than really a size queen thing. It is like, as I was told, women who have anxiety about their breast size. Once again, random rambling, sorry for that!
J------R
there cant be a colleration between height, hands, size of feet. Because i'm 6ft 3, huge frame(210lbs) biggest hands u'd ever see and size 12 feet. Yet, i have a 4.5 inch penis. If those myths were right i'd be down to my knee-cap. Nightmare though, i could do with a scanner my penis looks so daft on my frame =) its nice being tall, but having a small cock kind of counters it. Fallout
No, there is absolutely NO relation between penis size and other body parts, including the hands, feet and nose. For more detail, see here. I also have a 4.5" penis, only I'm 5'5", relatively small hands, and size 8.5 feet. So if John Roberts has a 4.5" penis at 6'3", big hands and size 12 feet, then there's obviously no correlation. The one difference would be that a 4.5" penis would appear larger on my body versus John's, only because I'm a smaller person. But it wouldn't really be any larger. J------R
yea, ya lucky shit. It advantageous to be shorter!!! your body creats an illusion.
TassieDave
I'll back that up. My ex was recently showing pictures of me to her friend. I'm a small guy. 5'4" or so. Not positive. Small hands, small feet (about a size 7 American), and I'm a small build. I'm sure many ignorant girls look at me and think, "man, he must be fuckin tiny... not worth even trying". Anyway, my ex told me that upon seeing those photos of me, she said, "well, there's THAT myth busted...". Now I'm only average, but on my frame, I guess I looked a lot bigger. And there's definitely no correlation between penis size and any other part of the body. Silly ignorant people...
J------R
in my case lets hope ppl remain ignorant i should do a full spread nudie pic as i can bust almost every penis size myth around. what ya saying tassiedave when i drop my pants women will think ',man, thats fucking tiny, not worth even trying and god i expected him to be huge' heh ur probably right. Ive had women say joking around 'bet your've got a big dick'
TassieDave
Yeah. Strange that we're looking at in from two different sides - me being insecure because people expect me to be small, and you being insecure because people expect you to be big. I guess both of us feel hard done by hey? Kinda stupid isn't it? If only there were more active people in the media with Bronx's and Dianne's attitudes - informing the world that a penis DOESN'T HAVE TO BE BIG for it to be awesome, and that there is no correlation between body size and penis size. So many more guys would get some if women realised that. Tis a pity. They don't know what they're missing out on, do they?
DreamCat26
It is your girth dude you are large in that department. A large girth will easily make up for average length. littlecrk got it right waaaay up this thread. Your profile says you got a 5.5 - 6" circumference which is a lot bigger then most guys. She was right, despite your length being on the average end, I think Mr. Webster would agree that your thickness also qualifies you as having a "big" dick. Use it wisely! Bruce123
Its not only women who don't know how to measure--and not for nothin', but do these guessers, m or f, have rulers or measuring tape next to their beds? Three quick stories: 1 two guys I knew constantly refer to men they've been with who were all seemingly 9" or more. Every reputable study out there indicates that this is an exceedingly rarer dimension for an erection. One of the two had a female friend, a size queen, who he prodded to call me to ask me how big my dick was. I didn't lie, even though he'd told her "Bruce has a big cock," and said 6". 2. I once hooked up with a guy who swore he had 8 1/2". When we got into bed, I whipped out the ruler for both of us. His penis was 6 3/4". He'd measured from the bottom side, not the top. 3. ok, I have measured a few other guys as well, two of whom were 6" exactly. I'd have guessed that one was 5 and the other 7. And I'm a guy. The point is that the actual measurements of your member aren't easy to estimate. Fallout: how's the weight loss coming?
Fallout
I've sort of stagnated, Bruce. I'm stuck around 180 lbs. That's better than I was, but I need to be less than that. I really need to be about 160 or (better yet) 150 lbs. Oh well. I'll just keep working on it. Thanks for asking though. I appreciate it. Bruce123
fallout, this may seem an odd question since I know your penis size and we've never met, but what's your height and waist size? that's what will help you out the most in perceptions. Outstanding
Okay I know I'm late to this post but here is my theory on women and their estimated size experiences. Very good looking women will attract good looking guys who have perhaps more confidence than the rest of us. These are probably the same guys who would vounteer to have their dicks measured. In other words they are probably big or bigger than the rest of us. That being said, these woman will likley have experiences with guys who are big or bigger. Therefore their own perception on average size may in fact be bigger than this thread is trying to assert. So if you are aiming for a hot chick it is likley that she has had bigger than you if you are small or average in accordance with the average hypothosis of this thread. Make sence? Thanks - Jake

How does it work that if a guy is confident and approaches a hot gal, that he has a huge schlong swinging bewteen his legs? I think it's been said everywhere on this board. Penis size does not equal confidence, confidence does not equal penis size. Would having a huge one help maybe with self-esteem? Probably. But a smaller hung guy can have just as much confidence as one who's packing 12 inches.
Stephen_in_Leeds
I can see the point you are making Jake. I think you are partly right on that bigger men can be more confident than some smaller men, so that would give a false impression. AP, I don't think he was saying all bigger men were like this & all smaller men were not.
