Your knob: helmet, bullet, blunt, tapered?

Hello, Men of Measurection ,

Tell us about your glans. Is it a 'helmet' that flares outward at the corona? Is it a sleek, narrow bullet? Is it a broad, blunt 'battering ram'? Is it smaller than your shaft or is your love stick shaped like a lollipop? I remember a coach who used to shower with the students. His always made me think of a hammerhead shark! If yours is the tapered variety, does it ever get compressed and elongated by a condom with a reservoir tip? It looks hilarious I think ... but feels very peculiar !

Funny how nobody is responding to this one. Well I will be first. Mine is the blunt type, not much flare to the corona, but plenty wide. Unlike some Asian cock, my shaft is also very wide, wider at the middle and base than my knob. Variation in knob size and shape is an interesting thing. I notice that there are some general themes, and that you can almost name them, like Hart has. I read a book on sexual behavior of Marquesans (islands north of Tahiti and south of Hawaii, where my ancestors on the Hawaiian side came from) and there was a list there of the traditional names for different knob shapes! names were of different natural objects that most resembled the knob type, like various shells, large nuts, etc. I knew from the descriptions exactly what kind mine was, and felt right at home! The only terms I see commonly used to describe a glans are 'conical' and 'mushroom'. Comparisons to "various shells and large nuts" will be a refreshing expansion of the Measurection 'lexicon'.

Strange as it may sound, the shape of mine actually changes as i get harder. Soft, it's kind of pointy, but as i get hard, it fills out more. I guess i'd call it bulbous...not thick enough to be called mushroom shaped. The widest point of my glans is thicker than my shaft when hard....just about equal to the shaft when soft.

Sorry about not responding sooner, but I had to get a dear friends point of view of what shape my glans is. We both agreed that it is helmet shaped! It is bigger than the shaft. Since I'm not circumsized, it almost looks tapered when the foreskin is just retracted behind the head. When the skin is stretched tight down the shaft, it is definitely helmet shaped.

I had to think about it some before responding . Mine I guess is a helmet. It has a definite flare and is wider than my shaft at the base of the head, but almost exactally the same diameter as the shaft at its base. I had a good run and a nice swim at Ala Moana this morning, so I am feeling less indulgent, although I have to tell you, from Halloween to New Years I usually pick up a full ten pounds over my "rest of the year" weight, and I take until March or so to get back into fighting trim... I remember being shocked a bit once by what I saw when I was hiking one day with some folks from a different high school. One of the guys had a swimmer's build, broad shouldered, tall; a well-tanned waterman. We both needed to piss, so we hiked fast to get ahead of the rest of the group, then quickly unzipped and pulled out our dicks, side by side, to piss over the edge of a small ravine. That's the closest description in your list. It doesn't have as much flare as Lil1Ohio's, but it has a gentle flare. It's 2.0" across at the widest point, while the shaft is somewhere between 1.5" and 1.75" the entire length.

 

The question isn't a dud; I think that many of us have never thought about this aspect of our equipment before, so we just needed some time to reply.

From the pics, I'd say clearly that you have the classic helmet, although I've seen guys where the corona is so well developed you'd almost want to make up a new category for them. Me in contrast, my knob has no such rim at the end, just goes convex from tip to base, so just call me "blunt"!
