fred9989 Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 There's another thread which raised the interesting idea of the SPS personality - the small penis syndrome personality. I see this as something like - you may or may not have a small penis, but you think you do, and that belief affects your sexual self-confidence, your sense of masculinity, and your sexual identity. All those things make a guy anxious, I guess, and that in turn contributes to sexual dysfunctions like premature ejaculation. So could it just be possible that the guys who have a tendency to fire off too quick during sex are the guys who either have a small cock or suffer from Small Penis Syndrome? What do you think? Fred
Guest Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 There's a logical fallacy in there somewhere. Sure, many guys who have small penis personalities may suffer from sexual dysfunctions, including premature ejaculation. However, I don;t think that means they all do. Further, every guy who's quick to release may not be worried about the size of his tackle. There could be other medical issues, other sexual trauma, or just a really, really sensitive dick. I don;t think it lines up.
japanjf Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 This is only anecdotal obviously. But in my case, I had 2 years ago a premature ejaculation. It was during horribly bad sex where I could not get an proper erection. I was also struggling with a Japanese condom.... (What they call average size here: definitely smaller girth than average in the West). I must say that normally I can stay hard indefinitely. So in my case anxiety was the issue. So it might be an effect on smaller guys if they are more anxious than others. But this is only me. One can easily imagine the opposite: guys so excited that they loose their marbles and ejaculate immediately. Whether or not a small penis produces early ejaculation independent of personality on average, of course I do not know... where is the scientific data? The only physiological reason I could think that there is a statistical relationship with small penis and premature ejaculation is the following: 1) Assume smaller penis head on average 2) Assume same number of nerves on average Ergo, they are more concentrated on a small glans making the penis more sensitive. So more "minute man" sex with smaller guys. Obviously I am wildly speculating......
RoughPoint Posted July 17, 2010 Report Posted July 17, 2010 When I was young I had to concentrate on not cumming too quickly. Now, I have to concentrate on staying awake long enough to cum. Go figure! Sometimes the simple answer is the right answer.

Go figure! Sometimes the simple answer is the right answer. Yes, that sums up my situation pretty well. I used to actively think about accounting or calculus to extend my time in da hole! I think there is a difference between being quicker than desirable than truly premature ejaculation. Cumming before fully hard due to nervousness or whatever is really embarrassing! Happened only a few times. Edited July 17, 2010 by Guest
F. LaCid Posted July 17, 2010 Report Posted July 17, 2010 I've only had a premature ejaculation during foreplay once as far as I can recall, and I've always had a small penis and lots of small penis anxiety. also a fourty year marriage and a pigeon pair with two kids each. My non-scientific comjecture is in agreement with an earlier post -- premature ejaculation has nothing to do with penis size or size anxiety, but is occasioned by other, possibly cerebral, factors, possibly physical factors. However, if it is a regular occurence then obviously help should be sought.
Rick Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 When I was young, I had to concentrate on not cumming too quickly. Now, I have to concentrate on staying awake long enough to cum. Go figure! Yay RP! Whew! :content: So, with or without the proper performance, you did it yet again (besides stay awake long enough to have dutifully typed out that brilliantly understated missive)! :waytogo: Therefore, with all due respect, and in light of all the unvarnished wisdom and truth thus bestowed, I humbly present you with yet another much-coveted and highly-desired award for "Quote of the Day!" :trophy: Enjoy, even if you do occassionally happen to fall asleep "on the job." :jester: In addition, just think: You actually managed to bag a trophy for not having bagged a trophy!! :jump: Go figure. RoughPoint Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 Thanks, Rick! It's been a while, and it always puts a smile on my face.
fred9989 Posted July 18, 2010 Author Report Posted July 18, 2010 Well, I wonder.....if you're small, you're going to be a bit anxious about how she takes it...(er, so to speak) when the pants come off. Maybe that fear never goes away? Even with a long term partner? Of course I'm not speaking personally here...ahem. However, I have been quick off the mark recently, a bit unusually for me, and I have also been very stressed about family issues. So maybe it's just stress that matters, whatever its source. I think this kind of sums up what I was getting at: "For a lot of men, size does matter, primarily because size affects confidence. A man with a small dick will meet with ridicule, whereas a man with a big package will be greeted with amazement. If you are happy with your size, you know that you don't need to worry about pleasing a woman in bed. And this will make a hell of a difference in your confidence around women. When you are confident in your ability to perform well in the bedroom, chances are that you will actually perform better. It's a self fulfilling prophecy. The more secure you are, the more adventurous you can be with your moves, the more you can focus on sexual satisfaction, rather than worrying about whether or not you "measure up" to her expectations. A bigger package also makes you feel good in another kind of way. When you're with other guys, and you know you are bigger than them, you can just feel the envy from the other, not-so-well-endowed guys. This is because, again, we all know that size matters." Fred

Riftalope Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 But there's the reverse problem for both sizes. Small, insecure and too nervous to stay totally hard can keep you from ever getting off. Sometimes going limp too soon. And a big guy can be so confident (or even full of himself) that he forgets to take any time. You can get so happy that you pop "too soon" and suddenly find yourself wondering how to cover the other five minutes.

Guest Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 My husband did, initially, but I don't think it was size-related. I think it was because he was unused to having anyone besides himself manipulate his dick. Sometimes this crops up again, but I am very tight, and we don;t have sex that often. It only seems to happen if there's an unusually long period between sexual encounters. Almost every time, he has no problems holding out until I'm worn out.

boxermann Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 I have a small dick, limp@ 1.5 inch, I can shoot off in 5 minutes when horney, or edge myslef for 2 hours. when with another person I do the same! so I think it depends on what is going on in the big head not the small one!
jayyy Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 I'd think small dick guys would be less likely to nut too quickly. Smaller in some situation could mean less friction.
LILGUY40 Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 I tend to cum quickly but in my case its just the way it is. Im not shy about being small and dont have anxiety, just a quick draw.
thenatural Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 I don't have the quick trigger problem. I am more likely to lose my erection and not be able to finish adequately.
KJL Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 (edited) My husband varies. Sometimes it can be in, out, in, out and then BOOM! Other times he can last a good hour or so. And from what my girlfriends have said, their boyfriends/husbands are similar and they're all of varying sizes. Edited September 5, 2011 by Guest
sgdgolf Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 For me it all comes down to taking some breaks. If my wife and I get very passionate I usually last about 10-20 secs. However, if I pull out and take some breaks, I can last 5-10 minutes. Don't quite know how that measures up with the other guys here.

Don't quite know how that measures up with the other guys here. I think it is basically the same for most guys... a quick orgasm is the evolutionary default setting. Although with your technique you should also be able to last an hour as KJL mentioned in the previous post... sometimes it can be difficult to find the orgasm and lose it altogether when too many pauses have been taken : / cheers..
jayyy Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 I don't have the quick trigger problem. I am more likely to lose my erection and not be able to finish adequately. this is more of my concern too. you can always work hard so she'll finish and then get a really fast-paced handjob or something.

Some guys can feel as if the woman's pussy is going to eat their dicks... you know be dominated or consumed by her in some way. then the dick shrinks away out of fear... but the hand job is ok (safe)
