French Penis Size Report

According to this article the French Academy of Surgery, in an effort to discourage men from penis enlargement surgery, has published "normative" figures. They find that the "penis should be between 9 and 9.5 centimetres (3.5 to 3.7 inches) when flaccid and between 12.8 and 14.5 centimetres (5 to 5.7 inches) when erect."

What I found surprising is the range they gave for erect girth (3.9-4.1"). Was there a mistake in the numbers that were quoted, or is my 4" thin wiener not as thin as I thought?

I think the figures given for the average range of flaccid length and girth are in line with other credible studies and surveys. I think the erect length average range is also, but the erect girth average range is lower than other studies.

I've seen that 4-5 average girth and 3.5-4 average numbers around. I don't know whey they throw those out..like where they are getting them from.

 

The biggest indication of those being false is that 4 inch girth people like myself can barely use a standard condom...most of the time dealing with slippage. This is something that would come up more often if there really were that many thin girth people out there.

To answer in English: The experts at the French National Acadamy of Surgery. However, it's entirely plausible that they may have provided normative numbers slightly shy of the actual truth, as the entire thrust of the article, as written, is an effort to discourage anyone/everyone from contemplating what they deem to be extremely risky penis (girth) enlargement surgery.

Hmm.There are def more length surveys out there. In wikipedia it mentions that 3.5 to 3.9 is avg girth accordning to three scientific studies.

 

I am way ocd and spent way too many hours trying to come up with a magic number, but there just isn't one (ecspecially for penis girth). There are too many different methods being used and too variations.

In the post immediately preceeding yours, I have quoted dimensions (in French) in centimeters.

 

You follow this by giving plain, unidentified numbers, without providing the measurement scale, as quoted above, so I'm not certain what you're attempting to state. However, according to the cited report, 3.0-3.5 inches is the approximate normative penis girth when flaccid.

 

Again, if we were to measure in inches, the normative erect penis girth is about 4.6-4.9 inches. To me, only the erect dimension is useful information, given that the object in question is only useful when erect.

I like the word "normative" versus "average." Average has become such a bad word, like if you are average you are not good enough. I like the word normative. I'm just normal.

Above is the passage I am referring to. And below that the site they took the reference from. I apologize for not being clear.. I am not highly educated so you might find me misspelling words also.

 

I don't know where you pulled your info for 4.6 to 4.9 from.. a couple people on this site said that 4.5 is avg girth after gathering all data from the library section.

 

With that said the results referenced above do seem to be on the small side, but give you something to think about. I have yet to actually see these three laboratory tests, but have seen this referenced quite a few times online. If any one has actually found the results please feel free to chime in.

 

Rick- I have read quite a few of your posts and you seem to be very well spoken & witty. Just know I am on same playing field as yourself and many others on this site. I am trying to get past some insecurities and find some healing about the size of my penis and in general. Thanks for helping...
