Trimming pubic hair

I used to scoff at the youngsters (under 50) trimming pubes. I didn't want to obsess about my little soft penis, I'm certainly not qualified to be a pornstar etc. Until... the last time one of my long pubes found it's way into my short penis's pee hole.

 

Aaaargh! Pain! Must stop the pain!!!

 

It occurred to me that the guys a with longer floppy penis seldom have the problem, but us short guys must get this all the time.

 

A little manscaping and voilí , no more painful pant problems.

 

Just another thing that dad never told me.

well, I never got a pube in the pee hole but I do trim because my lilpeter likes to withdraw inside me and when it does it takes some pubes with it, that's uncomfortable too. I guess not as bad as your situation but still a nuisance.

Before I started trimming my pubes, I would sometimes get a hair or two wrapped between my head and foreskin. A position change or a boner would cause all kinds of uncomfortable pulling. I have had one get into my hole a time or two. Makes me feel like I have a UTI.

Maybe I'm from the wrong part of the country but I've never seen trimmed pubes at any of the gyms I have gone to. At least not noticable. I trim back slightly, especially for summer, just to be cooler.

Never had a pubic hair get caught in the meatus.

 

However. I do trim the pubic hair around the base because I use a penis pump (VED) in order to generate and maintain an erection. Accordingly, public hair can interfere with the seal of the cylinder.

I'm not talking really short short&curlies, just tidied up a little and shorter than my equipment. In your area maybe some guys trim, shape and style their bush just a little bit. I mean, the growers of the world must occasionally have had a stray curly hair go in the wrong place.

If they trim much around where I am, I haven't noticed. Of course, it's best to not look too long at a gym shower or changing room. I tidy up. I'm sure others do too. I've never seen anyone shaven, shaped, or tightly trimmed though.

Most guys I see who are under 30 or 35 are pretty closely trimmed, and a few shaved completely smooth. I trim closely sometimes, when mood hits me, but shaving completely seems like would be a hassle.

I don't shave completely but I trim very closely when I do trim (once a month). It helps keep the hair out of my "innie" when it retracts.

I trim and sometimes go bare during summer months as I find it more comfortable. It's quite common among naturists to be shaved.

I trim my pubic hair but still aim for a natural look. Also, I remove the hair on my shaft completely to emphasize its length. That adds maybe 0.5 inches which doesn't seem like much but makes a visual difference.

Now that I think about it, I had another painful experience dealing with pubic hair. Don't read this is genital pain is gross. When I was younger I used to have a skin tag (little floppy mole) in that valley between my balls and thigh. Every once in a while a pube would wind around it, tug at it and cause a lot of pain. I'd have to unwind the hair to get it to stop. After a sleepless night of passion with my honey, IT WAS GONE!!! Nothing there. I can only guess that another hair had wound around it and our romantic antics had pinched it off.

For me total smoothness has long been the way to go. Years ago I began with shaving, then depilatory creams, which weren't much better and often caused painful burns. Then I began tweezing, starting with small areas such as the base of the penis. I loved the total smoothness, and that the hair grew in slowly, and not all at once, and was much finer rather than prickly. Finally I made the plunge and bought a Braun epilator. Now my pubes are as smooth as silk. Over time in the process of epilating I have pulled out most of the roots, so that I am now 90% permanently smooth, and I love it!

I have wondered about something more permanent as shaving every day is a bit of a chore... and I'm lazy. Permanent removal is an option, but it is exactly that!

 

I find that being shaved in a nudist environment is fine, but I do get some looks when using showers at the gym.

Since I was blessed, (or cursed) however you want to look at it with a lot of pubic hair that tends to grow very long and a penis that is very short. I found that the long hair interfered with my favorite pastime of masturbation as well as getting caught and pulled in various other ways as well. So trimming those long hairs when they grow to a length that gets in the way has become a regular routine for me and is done solely for my comfort and convenience.

I agree. I trim because it bothers me when it gets in the way when I masturbate. Not terribly thick pubes but they do get unbearably long.

I used to shave, but now I only do it sometimes, mostly in the summer when it's really hot. Now I trim my pubic hair short- 3mm. I do it because my girlfriend likes it better that way, she's not much of a shaved dick and balls.

And I also do that because it makes my tiny dick look a little, but very little, bigger.

Once, a few years ago, I tried to remove my pubic hair not with a Braun, but with my GF's Rowenta epilator, which I think is pretty much the same, but the result was nothing short of a bloody mess!! And when I say bloody, I really do mean BLOODY!! And the pain... The pain was just unbearable!! :cry:

I'm old enough that, when I was around other naked boys and men, "back in the day," there was no thought of shaving. And, as far as I knew, no "trimming."

 

Fast forward a decade or so and I found myself going to a gym and to a martial arts school. Lo and behold, in the gym there was one guy who was totally smooth. I mean legs and all! I've since learned there are conditions people can have (diseases?) that render them hairless. But I don't think that was this guy's deal - he spent a LOT of time in the shower. I think he wanted guys to look at him. First smooth guy I'd seen "in public."

 

I was normally there during the day so rarely saw the younger guys. There was one younger kid at the MA school. Only saw him naked a couple brief times while he was changing. He was completely smooth but then - he was 12 so it may have been "natural" - HA!

 

But now, all these years later, I do sometimes trim a bit. I am kinda hairy and, yes, it does make it look - well, if not bigger, then "less small!"
