new2day
I suppose it depends how old you are, and who you are talking to about it. As a child, I'll bet most of us had parents who used a child friendly name instead clinical names. If I went to my doctor, I wouldn't be impressed if he said get your cock out for me to examine. The "polite" term often used in the UK is willy, however American TV has continued to changed how we speak and I think most would say dick now. 6INCHES66
My friends and I grew up using cock and penis. I use the same words to this day. Always have had doctors use penis which is what you would expect. Edited July 26, 2020 by 6INCHES66 Vinnig
IndyBanker1946
Growing up a penis was a peter or a dick. Then came pecker, then came cock. Growing up stuck with me and I use the term dick most often. Vinnig and 6INCHES66
Nillywilly
In Army boot camps of the 60’s “peckerwood” was a favorite of DI’s, especially Southern ones (and they mostly were from the South). “You peckerwoods better get a move on!” Triasco9.5, Vinnig and 6INCHES66

I though "peckerwood" was a reference to redheaded Woody Woodpecker.
Vinnig
@bamanudelover I still tend to say peen or peener. 6INCHES66
smokeylink
As a young child I called my little button a pee pee. I had an older friend whose penis pointed downward and he called his a dick. At the time I figured my pee pee would become a dick in a few years when I would be his age. Now it's 50+ years later and I still have a pee pee. canuck45, AertySean and Vinnig 2
cyclistinmass
we generally called it a pee (when young) or a penis when we got older. i still prefer the proper terms for my genitals. Vinnig and 6INCHES66

AertySean
In French we familiarly use the word Queue, that means Tail, to speak about the cock. Do you use it in English/American ? 6INCHES66
Nillywilly
@AertySean In the US “tail” refers to a woman: “What a nice piece of tail”. 6INCHES66 and AertySean 1
Nillywilly
Let me add that is considered to be quite rude and derogatory these days. 6INCHES66

Yeah, the word sounds as if the woman was considered as an object. For the French word Queue, we recognize that our tail is a thing shooter and 6INCHES66

TheOtter
When I was in junior high the guys referred to their "nines". I guess a reference to the firearm and the size they wished to project. I remember when I was 13 a guy in my class sang a song about his dick being seven inches long.
