The third party chat provider we use is AVChat.  AVChat's product uses functions of (Adobe) Flash Video to implement their service.  So you need to have Flash Video installed on your system.  Depending on your operating system and your browser, there are various permissions you have to grant in order for Flash Video to be permitted to run on a particular web site.  These are settings on your end, not on our server and not on AVChat's server.

There are also Flash Video settings that include selecting the video device to be used as your camera and to allow or disallow turning on your camera.  This is all a matter of security on your own computer to try to be sure that nobody can watch you when you don't intend to be watched.

Ben, if you reply and tell us what device/computer, what OS, and what Browser you're using, perhaps someone can walk you through the settings you need to make at your end.

Oh, and yes, you are welcome back in the chatroom any time.
