Most all of my friends and acquaintances have seen mine, many from childhood up..and others from purposely trying to get a look sometime or another.  I have in turn seen most of them, too, at some time or another.   In a way I kind of think it's the human comparison to how dogs sniff each other's butts..🤣.

I very much agree with your thought.  My foreskin forms about an inch long noodle beyond my glans.  People very often take a second look and seem to stare.  Probably trying to figure it out.  At first I thought it was because of my lack of girth, but I really do think it is because of my long foreskin.  Although being uncircumcised is much less of a rarity than when I was young, having so much extra foreskin is an anomaly that people are not used to seeing.

My doctor tells me if I get circumcised I would only be about a half inch. So for now most of my penis is foreskin.

A couple of people have reported similar experiences of being cut in a mostly uncut world, and vice versa. I'm cut and have a prominent glans, when I go to nude at beaches or gym showers (though not so much with cubicles these days) I would notice people like to take a look. I'm completely fine with that, I do the same!

@wondering4 I don’t think it has to be a sign of obsession, there’s such a thing as a healthy acknowledgement of differences between men. It’s not necessarily a size contest if you’re comparing with another dude, and can just be fun and bonding sharing something traditionally considered private

I agree, I think it's healthy to look and compare, but you shouldn't let that affect your own self esteem if you see a bigger one. Well, when I first did it the difference was just too vast due to lagging puberty. . . traumatic and lead to one-sided sex.
