Fun fact: dicks are visible on X-Rays! I recently had an X-Ray done of my hip, and after the appointment was over, I remembered that I'd previously seen something about dicks showing up on X-Rays (it was a thing that happened with the tennis player Andy Murray, you can look it up). The doctor did go over the X-Ray with me during the appointment, but we were obviously focused on my hip (which is fine), so I was very curious to see if I'd notice anything when looking at it on my own in the Patient Portal.

I thought maybe only bigger ones are visible, and at first that seemed to be the case - I couldn't see anything. But it's sort of like those Magic Eye pictures - once you look at it for a little while and your eyes and brain figure out what they should be looking for, you see it. And it's certainly there - a shadowy but surprisingly accurate image of my penis, the top part of my scrotum, and my thigh next to them. Like many of you guys, it's basically just a head when I'm totally soft, and that was obviously the case in this situation, so it sort of just looks like part of my pubic bone at first glance. Alas. 

If you look up other examples, bigger ones are much easier to see. It's kind of funny to look at. I'm surprised this is not more well-known, to be honest.

@avgjoe913 Quite a few years ago I had fallen from a ladder. I too had xrays done. I never did notice any outline of my penis and scrotum. Like you I am very small so It probably blended in. Unfortunately I dont have those exrays to review them again. You definately can see larger well hung guy's penises in xrays!

I had a retrograde urethrogram this year. It was an X ray video of them filling my urethra with Xray die to check for obstructions. You can see my penis and the technicians hand holding it to pump the die in, so it’s easy to compare to his fingers. My flaccid is very similar in size to a finger, being on the thin side…

 

it was quite a strange experience! I did not get a copy of the video but I got a photo of the screen.

On CT imaging of the abdomen & pelvis it is not always fully included but is well visualized however much is on the scan. MRI exams of the pelvis usually show things in great detail.

Thanks for bringing some expertise to the thread! I can see how some guys wouldn't be "fully included", but mine was, lol. By the way, I tried to send you a message but couldn't.

Here's my story: About 15 years ago, I was having pain in my groin in some fashion; I can't recall exactly, but I went to see a urologist. They x-rayed everything related to my urinary system. When the x-rays were ready, the doc called me to come view them. The viewing was done in a small nook along a hallway where people were passing by. The x-rays were on a back-lit screen on the wall as is usually done. As the doc was describing how all the plumbing works; kidneys, tubes, bladder etc., I couldn't help but notice that all my external parts were clearly visible near the bottom of the screen, although in black & white. Well, a young woman with a little boy about 3 years old in tow walked up on the other side of the doc from the side I was standing on. I could see her out of the corner of my eye, but he didn't realize she was there for a couple of minutes or so. When he noticed her, he turned and answered some question she was wanting to ask him. So, she had those couple of minutes to observe my x-ray while waiting for the doc to talk to her. No way she could have missed it since it was right in front of her just like it was me and the doc. She then took her child by the hand and started down the hall to leave. I'm sure she got a good look at my 'innie' penis and up-tight balls. I could only imagine her thoughts as I watched her walk away as being "I don't know who that guy is, but I do know how little his wiener is". Embarrassing but kind of fun, too.

Ha, well then I guess I'll go ahead and post mine! It looks like the contrast or something is different on yours, not sure why that is. Seems like there's less detail, but can still easily see what you're packing, lol.
