I've never timed an orgasm, but surely they are longer than 6 seconds... You have that build up, the ejaculation, and the sheer blissful sensations afterwards. 

Thats all of the orgasm to me. And that is definitely longer than 6 seconds. I have a couple of videos where I'm ejaculating for up to 20 seconds. 

So I'll say mine last around 20/25 seconds all together on average. 

Depending who are are with and the activities your doing, they can last minutes maybe even hours. 😅

I would say that my orgasm starts about 5 seconds before I ejaculate.  I have this feeling of everything going into slow motion before my semen flies out. Ejaculation probably lasts about 5 seconds although even after this small droplets still appear at my hole. There is then a marvellous sensitivity that lasts a few more seconds.  So with me it really depends on what you class as the actual orgasm. If you include all of the above , it's probably about 20 seconds.  Ejaculation only about 10 seconds.  I have noticed now though that as I've gold older the amount of semen has decreased a bit.

Ejaculation actually starts before orgasm. A male can ejaculate without having the orgasm if the stimulation is stopped at the initial onset of the ejaculation. The problem is (for a male) the time between the onset of ejaculation and orgasm is so short it is extremely difficult to discern and appears to happen at the same time.

After my glans removal my sexual response changed to be like that of a female. That is, a slower buildup, a longer lasting orgasm (i.e. slightly lower peak but longer lasting peak), and no refractory period. Because of that I have been able to separate ejaculation from the orgasm and have the ejaculation without the orgasm. I really wish it was the other way around as I would then be able to eliminate the ejaculation and have the dry orgasms I so enjoyed during my boyhood.

When I had my male orgasms that sharp (intense) peak of the orgasm actually caused my mind to blank out for a second or two and I would not be able to appreciate that small segment of time. With my female like orgasms that peak is wider and rounder (and slightly lower) so my mind can enjoy the entire duration of the orgasm which overall makes the orgasm more pleasurable.

I believe it is the loss of that extreme intensity at the tip of the peak (of the orgasm) that has eliminated the release of the chemicals that cause the refractory period for me. That leads me to conclude that it is the glans (and the intensity of it's sensations and sharp intense peak) that is responsible for the refractory period. That could very well be why prostate and nipple orgasms are less likely to cause the refractory period and allow for multiple orgasms. I wish I could find more information on that.

At least 20 seconds. Sometimes longer if I have not had an orgasm for a week or more. Love my orgasms never had a bad one.

Yes I never have timed one but I would say at least 20 seconds if not longer especially on the stronger orgasms closer to probably 45 seconds

Aren't number of sports correlated to the length orgasm?  Multiple ejaculate spurts mean multiple contractions.  Sometimes I have I have additional contractions with no ejaculate.  Never tried to watch a clock at the same time.

Penises have length but orgasms have duration. (ejaculation spurts would have distance or velocity) I was just being facetious as 'Orgasm Duration' would have been a more appropriate title than 'Orgasm Length'.

NTL - I think the duration of an orgasm would be from when one gets to the point of no return until the intense inner feeling drops off (usually that is like falling off a cliff after the peak of the orgasm). The ejaculation and orgasm are two separate things. If stopped in time the ejaculation can happen without the orgasm. Therefore the ejaculation can start before the orgasm and continue after the orgasm is over. Timing that entire process will give a false time value for the orgasm duration. Hence the reason for the small duration numbers you see in surveys as being typical for males.

I responded to a similar question a year or so ago. When I'm really aroused and focused, my orgasms easily last 40 seconds or longer. On those occasions when I continue stroking and go for a second orgasm, the results remind me of a stone skipping across water. I'm also extremely vocal and animated, as those who've seen me on camera or in person will attest. My best friend says I'm on a whole different level than he is—or anyone else he knows.

How long does the orgasm of your male partners last in various acts?  I've never thought about it a lot, but some had multiple spurts each contraction seeming to give them remarkable pleasure.  Others seemed have much shorter orgasms with few contractions.

My orgasms are usually fairly quick, I think.  Multiple spurts (contractions) beyond 2 are rare.  I have no idea how to time them!

Female orgasm seem very long and endless in receiving oral if we hit it off.

Ejaculation is not orgasm. Neither is the residual pleasure (come down) after the orgasm. I trust most guys tend to over estimate their actual orgasm duration.

Is not the spasm expelling ejaculate concurrent with orgasm and extension of orgasm.  Always seemed to me it is.  Of course, unimpressive ejaculation or expelling of ejaculate without spasm or orgasm is another thing.

The muscle contractions causing semen to be expelled always seemed identical to orgasm to me but apparently not considered so by experts.  Then again I have never had a dry orgasm before or after I had semen to ejaculate.  I guess that is just me!  I observed women having orgasm without ejaculation, obviously.  Only in porn have I seen women squirt similar to ejaculation.

Oh, oh!  I just didn't know I was having dry orgasms!  I never called the bodily pleasure climax event orgasm because I had no ejaculatory spasm nor feelings centered around the genitals.

Dang!  I orgasm usually many times when giving oral sex to a man or woman without ejaculating.  I never ejaculate unless I masturbate then too.

Same thing when getting fucked!  I don't ejaculate then either unless the guy jacks me or I jack myself simultaneously.

You can learn something every day.  An altered state of consciousness is definitely also achieved and a long whole body glow during which I want more.   Pleasure while bottoming and giving head sounds more like female orgasm.

Way more pleasure than fucking for me!
