Is there another administrator?

Question

Posted

Hello, I wanted to mention that I requested access to the smaller exchange right after signing up, as I qualified for all the requirements by both my profile and size. I emailed RodENuf, but I’ve heard nothing back from him in a week. So, does the site have other administrators who might be able to handle my request? Also, without Rod, is the site completely rudderless and going to die, or do other members have access to control it and shepherd it along?

Thanks for listening.

I took care of your request to the forum today - if anyone else needs access, message me.  See the post in the announcement forum.  :)

I have sent a PM to Josh and Alan, been over a week now, no reply.
Something is up

Hopefully not abandoned. 😐

Invision Communications paid in advance, and when time is up...click. . ?

I'd hope not.😐

This is concerning.  Let's hope there is a reasonable explanation for this.

It's really odd that the people with administrative positions are not replying to emails. This site has always been very well monitored. I really hope RodENuf is ok.

It seems so odd, that neither one of them can be contacted.

Rod's profile says he hasn't been on since January.

Yeah I also sent a message about that request several times in the past 2 months and no replies from any admin.  Something must be up

dont know if any one read his note about his health but it did say he had to go back for another MRI after his first one he said he would not have surgury unless the MRI said its needed he also stated it was a risky for a guy his age and health. The MRI was schedule for early febuary and he said he would up date toward the end of febuary . with him not doing this any one here who knew of him knows something is very wrong . i know you probably read what i read but for those that was wondering i wanted to send this. Rod really has always been here and helped me so much when i got here years ago

...

I do hope all is well, however it's strange that we haven't heard from JTT either. 😐

JTT may well not be aware that Alan is missing.  JTT relied on Alan to do all the admin work, and JTT got involved only for system changes and money concerns--when Alan brought it to his attention.

While it is possible Alan has died, in his eighties, it is unlikely that a younger JTT has gone, too.

So the problem is, getting in touch with JTT.

Ted.

Yes, that is why this is so concerning and my thoughts are with Alan, his health issues and the guy who has always kept this site on course. I'm not sure whether he planned for a 'succession' so to speak, but it seems at the moment, considering people have tried to get in touch with JTT, that the site is rudderless, although from what I've gathered, it's paid up for for a while. I so hope this site doesn't peter out, it's such a gift, but without admin the writing might be on the wall.

.....

It's too bad that they didn't give someone that they trusted an email address for them in case of serious need for contact. 😐

... Did Rod and JTT associate any outside of this site.? ... When there were troubles with Invision connections, it seems that they communicated by other means with each other.

All this sounds rather odd. Well run forum sites should always have at least one administrator on duty. If the admin staff jump ship (not suggesting that here) then members of a site become something like a group of castaways on a desert island. I enjoy being here as I now know loads of others do. All a bit peculiar.

Ethan, who is part of the admin, is here and has done some 'cleaning' work. He's spoken in a few of the other threads.

This link is in the menu near top of every page under "More" and then "Staff".

https://www.measurection.com/forum/index.php?/staff/

If you want to reach JTT he's got a contact indicated.  Won't go to his email address directly -- goes to messaging here and like any of us, a notification goes to his real address.  Of late I can't get him to respond to me either.  He's super busy trying to make a living in software.

No sense in contacting Rodenuf because he's not online.  If you want to say something personal to him, I can forward it to a family member who has direct access to him.  Just don't mention Measurection or penises as I would have to edit that out because it would be his sister-in-law who reads the message to him.

BigAl has not appeared since I came back.

Sean may appear out of the blue and say something.  He's not all that active anymore.  But, I'm sure he would appreciate hearing from you and telling him you appreciate his creation of this great place!!

I guess it all boils down to me.  Ask me anything and I will try to help you out.  I am not proficient with the software, but even if I was, I don't have admin powers.  If the shit hits the fan here, contact JTT.  That would be something like a major hacking or the like.  A few crazy ass messages I can delete and ban the poster.

What is the meaning of life????????

The meaning of life is a philosophical question that has intrigued humanity for centuries. Different cultures, religions, and philosophies offer various interpretations, but here are some common perspectives:

  1. Existentialism: Life has no inherent meaning; individuals create their own purpose through choices and experiences.

  2. Religious Views: Many religions propose that the meaning of life is to fulfill a divine purpose, follow moral guidelines, or achieve spiritual enlightenment.

  3. Humanism: This perspective emphasizes the importance of human experience and values, suggesting that meaning can be found in relationships, creativity, and contributing to the greater good.

  4. Scientific Perspective: From a biological standpoint, the meaning of life might relate to survival, reproduction, and the continuation of the species.

  5. Subjective Experiences: Many people find meaning through personal experiences such as love, happiness, achievement, and connections with others.

Ultimately, the meaning of life can vary greatly from person to person, shaped by individual beliefs, values, and experiences.

All of that creative genius was from my same question to ChatGPT.

The meaning of life is from my personal point of view is ......

?????

To get through another day without getting depressed over the disgusting people who rule us largely for their own personal gain.
