Had to wait so long for my pubic hair to finally arrive that I never thought I would ever want to shave them off.  Well, five years ago or so, my wife wanted to see what I would look like if I were smooth down there.  With the exception of a three month period a couple of years ago, I have been smooth ever since.  

Although there are times when I am rather shy about being smooth, for the most part, I really do like the look and the feel.  And since my wife likes it, that makes it even better.

Oh, before reading the posts here, I thought this was going to be about how smooth the skin on your shaft and sac were. I also say that because there was another topic where all of this was discussed quite extensively.

Without shaving, almost no hair on my scrotum, certainly not growing anywhere on my penis, and although I don’t have much hair on my pubic mound, and the color is fairly light, so difficult to see, I do keep it shaved back to about half of its length because I don’t like it rubbing against the skin on my penile shaft when I am masturbating, or I get cheating.

I've said before, I have been keeping things completely shaved since I was in my 20s. Only time that I didn't was when I had hip replacement surgeries,  at 2 different times,  and that was one of the worst things, having all the hair and not being able to shave for a long time.  I had both surgeries at a relatively young age, especially for that type of surgery.  I was 39 for the first and 46 for the second. I know it was at least a couple months before I could stand and shave, but when I could then off it came. Hated that over grown feeling.

I shaved smooth with a razor one time and it looked and felt amazing. However a few days later the area was just a red rash like canvas of spots and it looked awful! So these days I just trim it very close using a 'manscape' electric shaver and shave my balls.

I get a few spots now and then, but shaving regularly reduces that, I think the skin gets used to it. I sometimes use Nivea post shave lotion which helps.

This is a really great time in history with the advent of the popularity of 'manscaping' for guys not wanting to have pubic (or body) hair.

Here is my story...

I had been getting rid of my pubic hair every chance I got, using every method out there, since I reached puberty as I absolutely hated pubic hair. The main problem was that I needed to try to time when I removed it as there was no way I could be seen naked at that time because i was unheard of for a guy to not have pubic hair. Talk about being laughed at for having a small penis... that couldn't even compare with the humiliation of being seen without pubic hair. If I had an annual doctor's visit or was planning on trying to date a girl I had to make sure it could let it grow back in time.

Pulling the hairs out of the follicle became my preferred method as I would stay hairless longer with no stubble and when it grew back the hairs were less irritating. I tried waxing to accomplish that but it hurt too much to pull a lot of hairs out at one time so I used tweezers to pull one hair out at a time which unfortunately was very time consuming. I started to think that if I permanently thinned out the hair by randomly removing hairs in between it wouldn't be noticeable and I could speed up the removal process. So I looked for a permanent removal process to accomplish that..

There were all kinds of products out there that claimed permanent hair removal and I tried them all but none killed even a single follicle. I became very frustrated. Then one day (after I was married for a couple years) I came across a home electrolysis product which was inexpensive and even though I knew it would be like all the others I felt I needed to cross it off the list. So I treated every hair follicle on the highest power setting and waited. After the normal amount of time for the hair to reappear nothing was visible yet so I waited. A full month went by and nothing, then two  months and nothing, then 3 and nothing. That was when the reality set in and I was devastated. I killed off all the follicles and I would never have pubic hair ever again. I could not even imagine what I what I would do. I knew I could never be seen naked again as I would be the laughed at and humiliated to no end.

As time went on I got up the nerve to post a couple of naked photos on BME zine to try to get a reaction from other people as nobody would know who I was on there. Just as I expected, I started to get a lot of negative comments. Most were that I looked like a little boy and that it looked disgusting and that it was unhealthy because nature put that hair there for a reason. I would be prone to infection. I wouldn't get proper cooling to my genitals, that it made me look gay, and on and on (remember this was during a time where it was unheard of for even a woman to not have pubic hair). There was however a random positive comment but they were from men. Women seemed to hate it - which seemed to match the response I got when I was dating when I questioned girls on their thoughts of a guy not having pubic hair.

As time went on I started to realize how soft and smooth and sensitive my pubic area had become and rather than feeling insecure about myself I started not to care what anyone else thought. This was the greatest thing that could have happened to me. I started to post more naked photos of myself over time and noticed that the positive comments were increasing as did the number of questions on how I accomplished it from others wanting the same. My wife was already accustomed to my hairless pubes as I started temporarily removing it during the summer months shortly after we were married using the excuse that I sweat a lot and it itched like crazy. I then started to extend it into the winter. My pubic skin is now permanently 'baby' smooth and sensitive to the point that I can orgasm from my wife just caressing that area. 

I liked the look and feel so much I continued on to permanently remove all of the rest of my body hair from my neck down. Yes, it does look like my boyhood body again but I love that. It makes full body sexual stimulation a reality once again.

It turned out that the unexpected result from the home electrolysis and how devastated I was at first about never having pubic again was the best thing that ever happened to me. It was something that if I knew in advance that it would have worked as good as it did I probably never would have attempted it and missed out on the best thing in my life.

I usually trim my pubes with the second to the shortest setting on my hair clippers. I shave the base of my dick and my balls with a Mach 3 razor two to three times a week.  I also do my taint and my ass crack. Love that smooth ball feel in cotton undies! I started trimming my pubes at 17 . Playing sports my dick turtles and sometimes a stray long hair pokes me in my urethra (pee hole) Hated digging in front of my fellow players. Some made fun of me in the showers (probably because I had the smallest dick) and some asked what I used to do it.

My story is very similar to yours. I started shaving shortly after puberty, then tried creams, tweezing, and eventually an epilator, thanks to which I am now 98% permanently smooth and love it! I now don't care what people think--besides there are so many smooth guys out there now.

Actually, I preferred when there wasn't as I liked the uniqueness of my being hairless. Kind of how I feel about having a smaller (less common) penis.

I'm still trying to figure out this thing with the epilator causing permanent removal. When I was younger I could pull the hairs out of my follicles and they always returned. Initially it didn't appear that way as there appeared to be fewer but that had to do with the growth cycles. It just took several months for them all to start growing back. But as I got older there was some very fine hair on my legs that I couldn't remove with the electrolysis because they were too small to get the stylus into the follicle. I used an epilator on those and did notice that little by little fewer came back. So I'm not sure if it had more to do with my age than the method. But I do agree that the epilator is a good removal method.

Before I purchased an epilator I used to tweeze, but it took too long. By the time I plucked the last hairs the first ones I plucked were reappearing, usually within 10-14 days. I also used it on my breasts, which were moderately hairy, and it was super successful there

I have shaved mine a few times.  I just get too many bumps afterwards.  And the days of itching isn't worth it.   I prefer to trim it close.  It looks smooth just no bumps or itching.

Try an epilator. The first time or two is rough but after that it gets much better. Stretching the skin with one hand helps. Once your skin gets used to it the skin will be smooth immediately after and last for a couple weeks. The hair will come back finer. It's even possible to do the scrotum if you stretch out the skin flat and just barely touch the skin. Shaving absolutely sucks and the stubble is worst than the hair.

I'm older, have been shaving for several years years, closely trimming above my penis. Wanted to shave it all as I entered puberty, but that was not in fashion back then and in middle school gym showers I would have been made fun of for not entering puberty, no pubes, small penis. 

As I've aged, my pubes are much more sparse, as was my underarm hair, which I now remove, too. The only reason I don't remove my pubes permanently is my wife said I look like a little boy and must be a pedo.

I love the smoothe look and feel.  Have shaved before, but absolutly love waxing.  It gets your area so smoothe.  Usually use some lidocaine and take 2 advil  before.  It helps to have an estechien who has experience waxing men.  My favorite wax lady mentioned that one of the other girls in their spa had never waxed a man and was a little scared.  I asked if she would want to be trained.  So I had 2 girls waxing me.  One was the coach, and one the trainee.  I tipped them both.  It was a fun experience for all involved.....

Ditto that, & I've Mentioned it on occasions.
Wife did do a bit of Electro on mine for a bit, before I bought a Home IPL.

It did a Semi-Permanent Job. She made Mention of this to Her Colleague,  who hired one of Her Rooms a Week each Month for her Laser Work.
She offered to give Me Freebies to prove the quality of Her Services.

10 years on I have only the odd bit of regrowth.
One bit was a bit experimental; Waxing first, to leave an empty follicle with a Microbleed.
The Dark spot being the Lasers target, instead of a too light small folicle.

I'm tempted to try an epilator after reading some of the posts here. 

Currently I use an old style safety razor (the ones with the wide, flat double sided head) as I always suffered from razor burn and read somewhere that a single clean pass with a single blade reduces the skin damage, and I have to say it has been quite effective. Not that the razor burn (from Mach 3 type blades) ever really stopped me before, but it was annoying - baby smooth for 12-24hrs then the burn, bumps and general discomfort would set in for a few days.

I rarely do a full shave job these days, preferring to keep everything neat, shaving around the base of my shaft, my balls and taint, and keeping everything else short with a pair of barber's scissors. 

I've got a few annoying lone hairs that occasionally grow from my shaft and even my foreskin, which I find kinda disgusting and pluck the moment I notice them. Anyone else get that?
