For me it was summer camp. It was one of those older ones from the 70s with just an open shower area in the boys bathroom. There was about 12 shower heads in a semi square with absolutely no privacy. They had a couple benches you could put your towels and clothes on but that was it. 

 

Some of the braver boys walked from their cabin to the shower building with just a towel wrapped around them..

 

However I carried my clothes and towel and everything because I was nervous as shit lol. We all had to shower in the same 30 minute time window as our camp schedule was so full for the rest of the day. 

 

So I was basically screwed, and waited til others were starting their showers to find a little spot to set my clothes and towel, and hope I could get the showerhead closest to the benches.

 

I do vividly remember the first time I took all my clothes off and was facing the dozen or so other naked 14 year olds. I had some body hair and I was very tall for my age, but hadn't developed much down there otherwise. It was in button mode at first, and I hurriedly tried using my body wash and showering. The worst part was getting a little unwanted morning boner in the middle of showering one day. "Debagging" .. I was in the Boy Scouts for many years and I never heard that term. Oddly, when I tried to search for that term, it kept correcting it to "debugging" ...

Sounds like boot camp, that's was a thoroughly humiliating experience, dehumanizing. I don't know how I endured it, but somehow I did.

For clarity, the teachers had no idea why the other kids called me Bruce. No different than them calling a guy Bubba or other nickname.

I was about 10 years old when the neighbor up the street got a new pool. My friends that lived there were three boys of similar age. Alright, I guess I misunderstood. Still cruel of those kids though. I'm so happy they didn't require us to shower when I was in school. Boot camp was another story entirely, but I just quickly learned to tune it out.

We had to shower and one large shower room with 8 or so heads, it was the norm here.
So I was 13 when my dick exposed to the world (ok PE class).  No comments ever from anyone.
Grade 8 maybe 5 of us not yet hit puberty.
Grade 9, pubic hair had come in, but my dick hadn't changed much.  Thicker but no longer.  After PE maybe 1.5" showing.

We had same thing, one shower room.  3 benches where you changed at, left clothes on bench (no lockers).
Little nervous the first time, but got used to it.
Grade 8 shower room had an extra "room" off the side of shower to hang towel, dry off.
Grade 9-12 different showers, no dry off area, straight from benches into shower.

I'm assuming you're from Ireland, maybe "debagging" is something they do, or is more common, there? As I said earlier, I was in the scouts for several years and I never heard of that term. At any rate, it's a form of hazing, and it is wrong to do that to someone. Some might might say it's all in good fun. Sorry, "good fun" should never involve humiliating someone.

Just to clarify, this was in the 1970's, and the policy was that showering was optional but not required, and I have no clue why that was the policy. Some boys did shower, but not many, maybe 3 - 4. I have mentioned that I grew up in a rather conservative county, and we were likely the last district in the state it fully integrate the school system, which happened in 1972 ... yes, I know that's hard to believe, but it's true. Whether this was a factor or not I don't know. (is it possible that white parents had a problem with their kids showering with black students)?

Mine was also after PE showers.

We never did those at school but our school had showers. We were all around 11-13 and thought it was a treat to be able to shower at school. PE teacher gave it to us as a reward. I was naive and ignorant, so I went fully naked. I had no hint of self-consciousness at that age. I didn't even notice at the time, but most of the boys kept their underwear on. I didn't check anyone else out either, just did my thing. 

But afterwards one of the guys said mine was small and made several comments about it. We never showered again as a class throughout school so I always just assumed I was average, until much later.

(Of course the friend who called me out turned out to be very well endowed, as I would discover a couple of years later).

Was sports for me I played Rugby from around 6 to late 20's and we would shower together and I was always one of the smallest in the locker room, would sometimes get commented on but not in a negative way and a few times I even got compliments for being a grower as we would all party together and things often got silly

Post gym class showers for me. Had a bit of confidence being an early bloomer in the hair department that year. But by the end of the year was quickly passed up in size by everyone. My little button was often hidden in my bush. Didn't help that many guys were switching to boxers. I was still in tighty whities (as I still am today). Git the nickname LBB - little boy bulge. Amongst kids my own age I’ve never been small. But when I was 14 I started going to a gym near my school. In this particular gym at the time I used to go there were only competitive bodybuilders there. All these guys were very tall and built men. 
It was here in the open showers I was showering alongside 3 or 4 men all of which were well endowed. Knowing I was much younger I didnt feel embarrassed, just hoping I would grow as a I aged.

I thought so too. she never said anything after. I will never know. lol she is married and moved to South Carolina. I'm sure people that see something out of the norm would never forget it. For me it was changing with my cousins at their house to go in their pool. All the boy cousins would just change in one room to be faster and we’d see each other naked.
