I should think before I speak. Most people that go to a nude beach are probably not that shallow. I actually prefer ogling at a 'textile' beach and think the nude beach would be more about the overall experience of just being naked.

I agree. I specifically sought out nudism for this reason, as well as to work through the fear associated with being seen naked by others. Luckily, There’s a significant number of nudists here in Arizona.

Lack of venues out here. Nearest Nude Beach is almost 4 hours down the road.

Best one I've visited had a group gathering going on.

Saying that getting out of the sea i did feel a little ashamed i really do shrink when cold and because i have small balls they go right up and disappear

I was involved in a fair amount of naturist activity in Texas and have to say VERY few comments and was largely accepted.  Sexual talk was a rarity at the events I attended.

Wife and I have visited many of the AANR nudist resorts in SC, NC, Ga and Fla. We prefer a more active party type atmosphere so we started seeking out Adults Only Clothing Optional Resorts. These resorts will have dances where women dress sexy for the dances and there are often after parties. It’s not uncommon for couples to pair off with other couples or even invite a single man or female to join them privately. I can assure you that at these resorts men and women both notice the little cocks as well as hung guys around the pool.

In my experience the traditional naturist clubs cater for everyone and don't want any openly sexual activity. What does on behind closed doors however it's another thing. 

I know a few couples who attend clubs to enjoy the relaxation, but also go to more adult friendly clubs where they can have fun. I'm sure there are many more that do the same 

I have noticed a few of the ladies enjoy seeing a younger man with a big cock walking about.

One thing I've noticed as a Beach nudie is that there is a big increase in the amount of CFNM that happens at naturist/nudist/clothing optional beaches.

Lots of women seem to go out of their way to sunbathe on these beaches but have no intention (I am guessing) of stripping off. They setup solo, pairs and small groups in their swimwear whilst the majority of people on the beach, of whom a majority are men, are nude. I do question their reasoning for it. I don't mean couples where he is nude and she is not, but unaccompanied females. It has to be in some way they want to see lots of naked men.

The beaches (UK and Spain predominently) I use are also very specifically located in a way that there is no reason to use a nude beach unless you want to be there. There are plenty of easier to reach places where people (mostly men) are nude. So I have to assume these women are there to see penis.

I wonder if this is a common thread worldwide. I know my friend in San Diego says CFNM is also commonplace on the beach he uses.

I've pledged to work on pushing past my insecurities this summer and try out some low pressure experiences being naked in public with strangers.  For my whole adult life I took myself out of things I didn't think I was good enough for and missed a lot.  I'll likely be one of the smallest and I'm sure people will notice the big guy with the little dick, but even if they comment on it among themselves they'll move on to another subject in about 2 seconds.

A lot of the guys I've seen at nude beaches are rarely in good shape or have a big penis, many can't even see their own penis over their big belly. I wonder if women feel safer on a beach like that, knowing that most of the men are going to leave them alone.

@talljohn nudist clubs are a great place to visit if you can find one for a day visit. It sounds terrifying if you have some size insecurity but it's worth it. Almost everyone will tell you they are anxious on first visit, but 10 minutes later you'll wonder why you were so worried and enjoy the experience.

Based on your posted stats, you'll be absolutely fine. I'm a little smaller, and usually shrivel up a little when I'm wandering about. I'm far from alone, I seem 90% of the people the same way. Big penises are rare, and just as rare at nudist clubs. Beaches can be a different story, they're open to everyone and some just want to show off, perv at naked people and/or masturbate in the sand dunes.

Bit of a generalisation there @new2day whilst that is not uncommon, it's also a generalisation I'd disagree with.

The average age (except Brighton) is usually 50 something from what I have seen. Ergo a bit of middle age spread lol.

I did not notice that yet, at least in my area. I will be going to a naturist area in a few weeks so I will see if I notice this trend.

I mean, I don't mind if there are a few clothed people in the beach. I have seen couples where one of them is a nudist but the other is clothed (not always the guy is the nudist) and I really don't care about that as long as they are respectful. What I don't like is groups of clothed people just blatantly looking at the nude people, not just because they are looking, but because those tend to be the judgemental ones. What I like about nudism is that nudists are, generally, very open and non-judgemental so I hope this trend does not go too far.

Single nude males ogling or harassing  naked or topless women on Black’s Beach in San Diego has become a problem. We observed this when we were last there a couple of years ago.

Yes, it has been a problem for years, single women especially being harassed by men looking for sex. Cases of local women walking their dogs nearby have been approached for sex by men sporting erections.

Naturists don't like it, and neither do any locals who then petition the local council for nude beach designation to be removed as it attracts the wrong sort.

I visited Baker Beach in California many years ago, there was a mix of nudists, exhibitionists and tourists walking the beach. I'm sure there are many men who enjoy being seen naked, and no doubt some women love the spectacle of seeing naked men walking about. It's common at WNBR and Bay to breakers for women to pose for photos with naked men.

My wife and I recently did an overnight stay (we had our camper) at Glen Eden in SoCal area.  This is a nudest place, not a clothing optional.  We had a great time and talked to a lot of nice people.  Most of them are retired and/or live on site so they are older (50+)  Since are are in our early/mid 50's, it didn't feel uncomfortable, as we might if it was a lot of young, very fit people.  It was just a lot of normal people of all body types.

Since my penis tends to "turtle" a lot, I was really nervous about being seen but that quickly faded away.  I was really surprised about half the men I saw, also were turtled and no one seemed to think twice about it.  Sure there were a few hung guys but not as many I one might think.  It was also surprising how many different types of vulvas women had.  It really was a mix of things and being a non sexual environment, it just felt natural to walk around nude.

We had a great time and definitely look forward to going back.

To anyone thinking about trying this, just do it.  I have now been to one nude beach (in Maui) and two different nude resorts (Glen Eden being the nicest).  Just do it!!!
