Nudism is something I’ve always wanted to try, but never quite plucked up the courage to follow up on. Also, my wife is very much not a fan, so that’s an added complication.

There's no "dress code", so bush or no bush is entirely up to you, there's no issue with either. Certainly average bodies on my visits, and a wide range of lean to overweight. 

Clubs will often allow couples with no pressure for both to be naked. So your wife could accompany you if you wanted company. Only place nudity is mandatory is swimming pool. 

I've seen a few clothed and partially clothed men and women on visits, so everyone is happy.

I had to laugh when I read this. That is exactly true for guys with small penises. But in addition to that I see so many people with tattoos and facial/body piercings to make themselves stand out. I also see so many people who go out of their way or try to do something special so they can be seen on TV. So it seems that in general people want to "stand out' and be seen.

Small nudist guy here. I’ve always enjoyed going to the nude beach. Strip down and walk the beach for all to see. Usually I’m also at my smallest there. Enjoying another hour sunny day at a club with loads of people. Not the smallest, certainly not the biggest, but it doesn't matter.

Most people don't understand that nudism/naturism isn't sexual. I have enjoyed being naked at home for years.
