Asian average dick size is what?

We have all read the so-called Asian and black myths about dick size and some here dispute that as having no validity whatsoever. But I would like to hear from our Asian members what their opinion is about what they perceive as the average length of their fellow Asian race.

 

I have been in correspondence back and forth with a nice guy who lives in Singapore and he says his is 5". And, furthermore he says that the average he has seen for Chinese (which he is) is 4". He is gay and age 25 and has had many Chinese sexual partners. He is considered "large" comparatively speaking in Singapore, although, no doubt, there are probably others who are larger than he. And, no doubt there are others who are smaller than 4". As to what the average is for Chinese, I have no earthly idea. But since he is Chinese I thought it would be an interesting discussion.

 

If we have Asians here who will speak up and share info with us, it could enlighten us. An Asian member of Measurection is more likely to think he himself is on the small side, but more what I think many would be interested in is that Asian members' perception of what he thinks the "average" length of his race......i.e., if he is Japanese what does he think the average is of Japanese men. Or Chinese....Thai....etc. -- speaking from his own experience sexually.

 

I am one who is and always has been in awe of the Asian peoples of the world. Particularly, I find Asian men to be irresistibily sexy and highly intelligent. I would love to get to know Asian men, but have not prior to now. I think Asian men in general are amazed at my height (6'4") and surely must wonder if my dick is 12" -- LOL. They would be so amazed to find otherwise. The car I drive is Japanese and it is the highest rated vehicle in the world -- a true example of the intelligence and ingenuity of the Japanese people.

Well, I am part asian, being Chinese-Samoan-Hawaiian, and growing up in Hawaii, I've seen a lot of asian penises in locker rooms, showers, etc., even a few hard ones. There are surprises, of course, but the typical asian penis tends to short to button-like when flacid, especially on larger-bodied asian men (e.g., 5'7" 185+ lbs) the more slightly built guys show a lot of variation, but tend to hang 2-3" when soft, and 4-5.5" when hard, with a narrow shaft and much wider knob. Of course you do run into some stallions. I've seen a couple of taller Korean and Chinese men who were really well hung, and of course with all the ethnic mixing in Hawaii a little bit of portuguese in the mix can really change things!

 

Of course, us Polynesians (e.g., island people from the Pacific, within the triangle formed by Easter Island, New Zealand and Hawaii -- folks like Samoans, Tahitians, Hawaiians, Maoris, etc.) we all stem from SE Asia long ago and share some of the Asian pattern. We tend to be short-cocked, but because we have been selected for warfare and long cold trans oceanic voyages, we tend to be big bodied and generally thick, men and women both. this applies to our penises as well -- they tend to be quite thick, often well above average thick. I've seen hundreds of Hawaiian and Samoan and Tongan penises and most of us also tend to the 4-6" range, but one exception is interesting: there is a story in Hawaii about the menehune, a "short people" who were thought to be magical, and were very industrious, building huge things like walls and canals overnight, etc. And among their qualities was that they were supposed to be very impressive sexually. "Normal" Hawaiian women would want menehune husbands, but menehune wanted only to keep to themselves.

 

Well, among the many Hawaiians I've seen, there is a category that includes very short statured (5' - 5' 5") men with powerful limbs, rather unpleasant facial features (very wide and unusually flattened noses, and very fierce but bright eyes under jutting brows), and just amazingly big penises. There is even a Hawaiian saying that goes "upepe, ma`i nui" (squashed nose, huge hose) that applies perfectly to them, so its been noticed for probably over a thousand years!

 

Anyway, once I was at a sports camp, and one of the wrestlers was a menehune-type guy. When he was soft he didn't show too much, maybe only 1.5 - 2" and sticking straight out, except it was thick and very dark, being so compressed. But one morning he and I were both slow getting out of our sleeping bags, for the same reason -- we were waiting for our early morning hard-ons to go away first, but they wouldn't go away, so we waited until noone was in the space on the way to the bathroom/showers and we sneaked over. My erection pushed up a tent in my loose PE shorts that we all wore by way of underwear, but HIS erection made this massive tower in his shorts that pulled his shorts tight across his butt. His penis must have been 8 or 9" long, and I had to whisper to him "Oh brah, you get one huge one!" [forgive the Hawaiian pidgin - I slip in and out of it as I am spoken to] and he just grinned real wide as we got into separate toilet stalls to piss.

 

So anyway, while the "asian" tendency is as I described (at least in my experience), the exceptions are out there. The nice thing in Hawaii is that most of us are modestly endowed, so the public shower shame is much less intense.

I was wooed by both my English teachers and my PE teachers when I was in high school, to pursue writing and to pursue football. My Chinese-Hawaiian grandparents were very high on scholarship, and my Samoan immigrant family also looked to education as the key to success in the US, but had no experience on how to pursue that effectively, being so FOB (fresh off da boat). Lucky for my Chinese side of the family, who had a long history of "how to learn" advice for me...and Chinese grandparents who knew how to intimidate me with my obligations to elders, even after I outweighed them by 100 pounds. God bless them!

I do fine in construction, because I have the body to handle the demands of that, for now at least. I also have the brains to help the supervisors and contractors get what they need out of the project team, so I am in demand on projects all over the islands. I think I like that a lot. But I also enjoy the relaxing presence of my fellow construction workers (lots of big Samoans and Hawaiians there!), and can relate at that level entirely as well. Hell I got two different women pregnant when I was younger and not so adept at family planning, married neither, but maintain relationships with both of them and my two sons. So I am a blend of in the dirt/ in your face construction worker, but with a small chinese man inside my soul who wants to analyse everything and gets a chance to every now and then. This place is a good example, and I am thankful for it...

I am barely long enough when soft to manage it, but there it is... Even today, when I urinate, I pull the foreskin all the way back off my knob before sticking my penis out of my fly. Just a habit. I see more and more uncut men in showers these days, but when I am showering with my Samoan friends, the knob is showing!

It's about time I posted again! This topic is right up my alley. I will post my extended bio eventually, but in short, I am of Chinese origin and I was born in Canada. I am slightly tall by Asian norms, 5'10" (178cm), 150 lbs (68 kg), but I am smaller than the 4.5-5.0", which I believe to be average for Asians.

(I'm about 3.5" on a good day!)

 

I agree with Ioane when he describes the "Asian" tendency towards being short to button-like when flacid. And in general, I would also say Asian penises tend to have less girth in the shaft.

 

But Rick, you're right. It's very important for Asians to know that some of the average statistics being quoted may not necessarily be appropriate for their ethnicity. We should also remember that there is a tendency for lesser-endowed men to avoid participation in size surveys, though good studies would have taken this issue into account.

 

But most importantly, we should all learn to be comfortable with our dicks (whether small or large, cut or uncut, thin or thick) and not be embarrassed or ashamed!

There are also other studies dealing with the penile length of newborn babies from various countries. A recent article proposes that the definiton of micropenis in newborns be weighted according to ethnicity. (Cheng PK, Chanoine, JP. Should the definiton of micropenis vary according to ethnicity? Hormone Research. 2001 55(6)278-281. Conclusion: Mean penile length and diameter are slightly but significantly smaller in newborns of Chinese origin compared to newborns of Caucasian and East-Indian origins.)

 

There are other Chinese and Japanese studies I could cite if people are interested and if I can find where I placed them.

 

An interesting observation on the measurement and comparison of shaft girth with glans girth is the notion often encountered that East Asian men have large glans.

Any statistics from warmer asian places, like Vietnam, Malaysia, Phillipines? I know it is too much to ask for studies of Polynesian penis size, we are just too shy!

Unfortunately, I do not have links to the Korean studies. They are in Korean (except the one in Venerology), so they may not have a large readership here. If links should become available I'll let you know.

 

The same is true for the Chinese study. Actually, I have not found the Chinese study itself only the report in the China Encyclopedia of Sexology (Zhongguo xingkexue baike quanshu). I could post the Chinese text of that if you would like.

 

I do know of some other studies for Japan and Thailand but I do not have them at hand now.

 

One of the problems encountered in obtaining this information is many of these medical journals are not indexed in Medline but in their own country-specific medical indexes. This makes it time consuming to track them down.

 

I am looking forward to the new Indian study that is now being conducted to help with better condoms. They are looking at over 2000 men and plan to present the data by region. Although there will be questions of accuracy regarding the regional breakdown, nonetheless it will be interesting to see.
